How CivicAxis Sourcing handles a building brief

This desk is an independent sourcing partner for business buyers who already have a brand in mind and still need factories to price an alternative. The role stops at coordinating questions and organizing quotations. Design acceptance, code review and the contract stay with the buyer and the professionals on the project.

Review RFQ Checklist
  1. Use and occupancy
  2. Dimensions and height
  3. Wind, snow and seismic criteria
  4. Code jurisdiction
  5. Quantity and phasing
  6. Destination and access

Review stages, not a company chronology

CivicAxis Sourcing does not publish a plant founding year, a headcount or a production tonnage. The sequence below is the order a buyer brief moves through this desk.

01

Read the reference

The searched name is recorded as the comparison point. It is not treated as the supplier. The desk asks what feature of that reference matters: size, fold, stack, residential layout or a steel span.

02

Normalize the brief

Missing loads, an unnamed jurisdiction or a mixed shell-and-turnkey request go back to the buyer before factories are asked to spend engineering time. Guessing a wind speed to fill a form is refused.

03

Collect replies on one matrix

Each factory line is marked included, excluded, optional or waiting. Freight, tax, duty and installation stay visible. A budget, if you sent one, is shown as your target, not as a market index.

04

Hand back the open items

Deviations in material, coating, thermal performance or responsibility are listed for a decision. The desk does not award the project and does not certify a factory.

Boundaries of the desk

No brand identity

The service name on this site is CivicAxis Sourcing. Searched manufacturers remain third parties.

No inventory

Catalog cards are inquiry options. Availability is whatever the factory confirms for your date and destination.

No sealed design

Structural calculations, when needed, come from the party who accepts that duty for the jurisdiction.

No borrowed metrics

Customer counts, delivery-day claims and discount banners from other sites are not reused here.

Optional budget

You may send a currency, a range and a per-unit or whole-order basis. Factories still have to price the scope.

Preference is not a rating

Premium, mid-range, budget-friendly or undecided describes what you want to see. It is not an audit result.

The figures in this example are fictional RFQ placeholders, not approved design criteria, measured performance or evidence of a completed project. Replace them with project-specific values supplied by your design professional. The desk will not invent a load to make a form look finished. If your camp brief already has numbers, send those numbers: design wind speed 90 mph, ground snow load 20 psf, seismic design category B, eave height 10 ft, bay spacing 20 ft, clear span 40 ft, purlin and girt spacing as the factory draws them, hot-rolled steel or cold-formed steel named per member, coating G90, module dimensions 32 ft by 10 ft by 9.5 ft, and a crane lift plan for a 12-ton pick. Add design live load 30 psf, design dead load 8 psf, thermal transmittance U-0.060, an R-13 wall only if the climate needs it, and quantity 6. A rigid frame and a light-gauge house are different requests. Year labels on a manufacturer page, including any founded-year line you saw elsewhere, stay with that third party and are not a milestone of this desk.

Start from the six-line index

If the use, the loads and the destination are known, send them. If one of them is open, say so. The next note from the desk will ask only for the missing piece.

Include specifications, quantity, destination and delivery timing. A shell price, a delivered module and an installed building are different scopes.
